Selections for admissions are collected and prioritised by EHCP staff in conjunction with other professionals. The school identifies current and future vacancies within the school and reports this to the Local Authorities Admissions Co-Ordinator who then organises a series of admission meetings which start in the Autumn Term, where Special School representatives and Special Education Needs Officers decide placements of pupils. Admissions selection is based primarily on pupil need, balanced against the need to maintain stable curriculum provision within schools. It is also essential to take into consideration the balance of needs within each year group.
